Michael Waidmann

I’m a Washington DC based photographer who has had the pleasure of learning photography from some of the greatest photographers in the area. Before photography I served in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia. It’s where I fell in love with travel, East Africa, languages and engaging with people.

A mission of mine is to highlight a different side of Ethiopia and the places I travel, one that is not to be pitied or objectified but celebrated and seen.

I seek things that move my soul and enjoy seeing light emerging from darkness.
